Our highly skilled team of installers recently finished the installation of a brand new PVCu balcony with handrails at the South Leeds Conservative Club.

The previous balcony and handrails had been made from timber, which were rotting and becoming too expensive to maintain, so they decided it was time to invest in a much more durable and long lasting alternative.

The PVCu decking and handrails are ideal for external use, as they are weatherproof and will not rot. They are also crack resistant, splinter free and very easy to clean. There is no need to stain, paint or seal them either, so the finish will last for many years to come.

Our PVCu decking is also much safer than timber decking, as it boasts a non-slip surface, so spectators can expect to always have a good grip underfoot even in the rain. Timber is known for becoming very slippery when wet, something that can easily become a hazard.

The balcony is used as a viewing area for the bowling green and also as an external smoking area, which is why we also installed a car port to keep the rain off anyone using the balcony on those wet days. Plus we also added a convenient drinks shelf along the edge of the handrail.

We are so confident in the long lasting quality of our decking that it comes with a twenty-year guarantee, plus they are accredited to British standards Fire Class Rated BS476 PT7, Static Load Test BS6399 Pt.1, Slip Resistant BS6399 and Wear Resistant BSEN 660-2, which we hope gives you extra peace of mind about the quality.
